My Journey
I grew up in a trauma-infused home. By fourteen I was in counseling, but it only touched the surface — I didn't yet understand anything about generational pain.
By thirteen I had run away from home. I lost my virginity before I understood sex or love, and I threw myself into drugs and alcohol. I traveled to Rainbow Family gatherings all over the Pacific Northwest and chased concerts down the West Coast with college men. I crossed paths with psychics and healers along the way, but most of them were unhealed themselves.
I lost a child at twenty. My taste in men was terrible. I spent roughly fifteen years in and out of counseling, trying to understand my patterns and my choices.
My wakeup call came when I became a single mom — two months pregnant with my oldest daughter. I was a scared twenty-two-year-old who had to confront lost memories and terrifying nightmares, determined to save us both from the life my childhood had created.
A year after my daughter's birth, I went to massage school. Then reflexology. Then reiki healing. I continued into hypnotherapy and shamanism — all while earning my BA in Alternative Health and my MA in Education. I spent seven years in shamanic training: Peruvian shamanism, second-generation "The Four Winds Society," and intensive Nordic and Celtic studies under several well-known shamanic teachers.
My shamanic path ultimately led me to Jesus and God. I've spent the last eight years in church, understanding the path I was being called to — uncovering the past for my parents and doing the healing work our whole family needed to move forward.
Today, God has me praying as an intercessor at our church. And I still hear His call: to heal others caught in generational pain cycles. Everyone deserves to walk hand in hand with our Creator — healed and restored from the past.
